I believe that the best way to help clients find wholeness is to provide a safe, judgement free environment for them to explore their history. In this safe space hope is instilled and resilience developed to take back to their ongoing relationships, school and work so they may thrive no matter the difficulties they face.
I’m a wife and mother of one. I love spending time with my family and friends over a homemade dinner and playing board games like Catan. Fortunately, I’m lucky enough to have a husband who is an amazing cook and loves to try new recipes. Most of our time is spent being entertained by our son who has an amazing imagination. I love to read, go for walks and connect with friends.
I find that regular exercise, a healthy diet and consistent sleep patterns provide the structure to manage my daily stresses. I also utilize mindfulness, walks, spending time with my son and husband. Reading books from my childhood like “Anne of Green Gables” and the Myth Series by Robert Asprin also gives me the break that I need to recharge and reenergize.
I love to learn about my clients, understand who they are and utilize their strengths to assist them in meeting their personal goals. My favorite moment of the counseling process is when a client has that lightbulb moment in which they are able to own what they are learning and apply it to their lives.
