How I Help Clients Thrive
Your needs are unique. And yet your needs are normal. In these realities, I’m a supportive presence and a source for finding your own strengths in recovery from pain, confusion, and loss. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside as you weave your life together from unresolved trauma, relational pain, anxiety and fear, sadness, abuse, relocation, loss of community. I love seeing clients gain a sense of confidence and clarity in who they are and what they’re about. We’ll develop strategies beyond coping to progress and fulfillment.
Couples therapy is my main provision at ThrivePointe. I understand the pain and desperation we experience when our deepest bond feels difficult or broken. We will cultivate hope, then wholeness, together.
I also see individuals and families. I have a background in relational trauma, intimate partner abuse, child sexual abuse, sexual assault, family relationships, parenting and blended families.
Professional development goals and work relationship difficulties are also a focus. What is your place in the world? Who do you want to be? I see adolescents and young adults who want to discover awareness of their purpose, path, and meaning, whether at work, at home, or in community.
I am a safe place to explore spiritual questions and recovery from spiritual wounds or abuse. I also see individuals and couples of all ages in ministry and clergy positions.
Why I Became a Counselor
I became a counselor because I saw so many hearts facing life alone, no matter their marital or family circumstance. I saw the depth of each person’s need to see and be seen, to know and be known. I long for each person to know their own distinctive worth and dignity, and to experience the worth and beauty of others. It’s through experiencing one another that we learn to be whole.
Enter at the Lobby Entrance of the Offices at Liberty Center and take the elevator up to the third floor. The office is on the left (follow signs for ThrivePointe). When you arrive, check in at the iPad, and grab a beverage while you wait for your therapist.
Free parking is available in the Warehouse Row Garage (behind Cobb Theater) and the surface lots behind the Offices at Liberty Center, which is off of Haskell St. Metered parking is available throughout the property. These meters have a 90-minute limit, and accept coins and credit cards.
