Helping Clients Thrive

Why Play Therapy?

Play is a child’s natural way of making sense of the world. In the playroom, children have a safe space to explore feelings, practice choices, and try out new responses. My role is to guide and reflect as they build confidence, flexibility, and the skills to handle big emotions.

Caregiver Sessions

We’ll stay closely connected. Caregiver sessions are a time to ask questions, learn practical play-therapy principles, share what you’re noticing at home, and hear the shifts I’m seeing in session. Together, we align on goals and next steps.

My Approach

I trust children’s capacity to heal as they play through what’s hard. I will understand, care for, respect, listen to, and delight in your child. I will also listen to you, normalize what you’re experiencing, and offer steady support as we work for your child’s—and your family’s—well-being.

What I Love Most About Being a Counselor

I love translating the language of play—helping parents understand their child more deeply and build long-term connection. My favorite moments are when a parent says, “Now that you say that, I’m noticing changes outside of therapy!”–When small shifts grow into big changes, and when I get to work myself out of a job as kids graduate from therapy.

What I Do For Fun

When I’m off the clock, you’ll usually find me with a book in hand—anything from children’s stories and fantasy to young adult, psychology, self-help, or a good mystery. I love creating, whether I’m scrapbooking, making cards, art journaling, or baking something to share. I recharge by exploring new places, trying new restaurants and cuisines, taking long walks or hikes, and—most of all—connecting with family and friends.
